You don’t have to venture far for outdoor fun this summer, we’ve got four great Uptown Charlotte Parks just around the corner. Every week you’ll be able to choose a park, hear some music, have some fun and hang out with your family and friends, all for FREE. Romare Bearden Park is in the heart of Uptown, next to BB&T Ballpark and offers great events, waterfalls to cool off in and fun for the kids. The newest park is the First Ward Park which will host great music and events for all ages and tastes. Freedom Park has a great music venue, a beautiful lake, playgrounds for the kids and much more. Pick a park this week and have some fun, or better yet, visit all three.
Some things to know before you go:
- Leashed Pets are welcome
- No tents/oversize umbrellas
- Please refrain from using smoke and tobacco products
- Please walk all bikes, scooters, and skateboards during the event
- Please no outside alcohol or glass bottles, we will have some local beer & wine for you to check out instead!
- Picnic baskets are welcome, but there will be delicious food vendors
